Väderstad was founded in 1962 when Rune Stark, a local farmer from the small village of Väderstad in Sweden, faced a real challenge. His vision became the starting point of Väderstad as a company. Here we are, 60 years later, and Rune is no longer with us. But his creation certainly is.
Väderstad today is a global family-run company with more than 2 000 employee’s working in 40 countries. We have two production sites in Sweden, Väderstad and Överum, and two in North America, Langbank in Canada and Wahpeton, North Dakota, where we build highly efficient farm machines for tillage and seeding as well as produce our own genuine wear parts.
In 2020 we acquired the AAJV company in Wahpeton, North Dakota, including the three brands Concord, Wil-Rich and Wishek. As we are entering the US market and expanding our global footprint, we stay true to our values and make sure we think just like Rune Stark did in 1962.
So let us challenge old truths together, push the development and find new solutions for US farmers.
For today and for tomorrow.
When our customers are proud to own a Väderstad machine – then we also can be proud of what we have built.
Väderstad has a proud tradition of giving back to the communities that support us with our most important asset: human capital. In the US, Väderstad has donated $200,000 into projects supporting different sports programs and facilities in the sister cities of Wahpeton, ND and Breckenridge, MN.
“The support of the Wahpeton/Breckenridge community is of great importance to Väderstad. That’s why the company feels it’s important to support local programs and show a true commitment to the community that is helping it succeed”

“Whatever challenges the future may hold, we will always continue to stand by our customers side, to see their challenges as opportunities to simplify work and improve their lives as farmers.”
